XJ Cherokee Chassis Stiffeners (Unibody Stiffeners)
Here is our newly designed XJ chassis stiffener set. Made from high quality USA HRPO 7ga mild steel (3/16"), these are CNC cut, then cleaned up and bent all in-house for quality control.
- "J" shaped profile with an inner bend to contour the the factory unibody and add strength
- Slots all along the outside for welding to the unibody
- single outer bend allows for side and bottom to be connected all the way back to the leaf spring mount
- factory unibody holes are cut out in the stiffeners
- Professional installation required - grinding, utilizing weld-thru primer, welding thick-to-thin, and careful attention to alignment are all necessary for installation
*Race version also available - made from CR 0.120" thick high-strength steel. Same cost, with nearly no loss in strength but a 33% weight savings!
